The first specimen was lot 4144 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 8 Reales, 1881-Mo MH. Lustrous with a hint of toning. PCGS graded MS-64." The SCWC lists this date as common in all grades with a premium for the 1881/0 overdate.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
