This specimen was lot 31996 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $4,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. Republic gold 10 Pesos 1878 Do-E AU58 PCGS, Durango mint. Reportedly the second rarest assayer for this mint, and the first example we have offered in the last decade, the present piece is positively beaming with mint radiance and fine die polish in the fields." Despite the trifling mintage, the SCWC awards no premium for this date.
