This date from Mexico City, 1874/3, is listed as common but is not. All known specimens are the overdate. The second specimen was lot 71293 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Pesos, 1874/3-MoM. NGC MS-61. Not a common date. Overdate visible at top of 4. Sharply struck with strong luster and reflective surfaces. Brilliant and quite attractive."

Specification: 16.92 g, .875 fine gold, .476 troy oz AGW.
