This specimen was lot 6408 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $138. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Mexico City. 8 Reales, 1874/69-MH. RARE overdate. One small edge bump. BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED." The SCWC lists assayers MH and BH as common but the overdate as scarce. The Mexico City mint suspended the manufacture of cap and ray eight reales 1869-72 to produce balance scale pesos.
