Shown is an 1873ZsH 2½ pesos gold piece, of a type struck at Zacatecas 1872-78 and 1888-90. The type is also recorded from Culiacan, Durango, Guanajuato, Alamos, Hermosillo and Zacatecas but Mexico City is by far the most prolific issuer. The series, never popular, ended in 1893.

Recorded mintage: unknown but listed as the most common date for the mint.

Specification: 4.23 g, .875 fine gold, .119 troy oz AGW.
