This specimen was lot 23258 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1873-Mo MH. MEXICO City Mint. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. Fully struck with brilliant satin luster and light golden peripheral toning." This common date also comes with overassayer MH/HH. Assayer MH is listed for 1873-74, 1877-90.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
