This specimen was lot 31322 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 20 Pesos 1871 Cn-P MS63 NGC, Culiacan mint. Some adjustment marks on the denomination side, but Choice Mint State with partly reflective surfaces and rare in this quality. A very engaging type coin for this mint which should draw serious interest. From The FoxLair Collection." This type was struck at Culiacan 1870-1904 and is among the more available mints.

Specification: 33.84 g, .875 fine gold, .952 troy oz AGW.
