This specimen was lot 22341 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $118. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 50 Centavos, 1870-ZsH. PCGS AU-50 Secure Holder. Toned." The Zacatecas mint struck this type 1870-87 and most dates are common yet this specimen seems a good deal at $118.

Recorded mintage: 86,000.

Specification: 13.54 g, .903 fine silver, .393 troy oz ASW.
