This specimen was lot 21220 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 20 Pesos, 1870-GoS. NGC MS-62. Lustrous with a slightly weak but above average strike. Bright with nice reflective surfaces." This type was struck at Guanajuato 1870-1900 and the 1870 is considered a common date.

Recorded mintage: 3,250.

Specification: 33.84 g, .875 fine gold, .952 troy oz AGW.
