This specimen was lot 11342 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $881. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Mexico City. Centavo, 1868-Mo. NGC VG Details--Tooled. RARE." Altho Mexico City is a common mint for bronze centavos, this date is unlisted and is presumably as rare as claimed in the auction listing. Preproduction five and ten centavos are also recorded.

Specification: 8 g, copper, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
