This type was struck at Culiacan 1846-69, with assayer CE listed for 1846-58 and 1863-69. This specimen was lot 8119 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $316.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Culiacan. 1/2 Real, 1863/57-CCE. VERY RARE date. VERY FINE." This overdate is not listed in the SCWC. Culiacan as a whole is a less common mint tho not rare.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, .903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
