This specimen was lot 24379 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Escudo, 1861-GoPF. NGC AU-55. From the Graywood Collection." Half escudos were struck at Guanajuato 1845, 1849-63. 1861 listed as common. PF listed for 1848-62.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, .875 fine gold, .049 troy oz AGW.
