This type was struck at Durango 1832-69, with assayer CP listed for 1853-62 and 1869. This specimen was lot 8130 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $345. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Durango. 1/2 Real, 1861-DoCP. RARE date, cleaned. EXTREMELY FINE." Durango as a whole is a rather scarce mint tho not rare.

Specification: 1.69 g, .903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
