This specimen was lot 11256 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $646. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 4 Reales, 1860-GaJG. RARE date. Circulated, but problem free. FINE." The Guadalajara mint struck four reales 1843-63. Some of the early dates are common but this date is rare.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.

Specification: 13.54 g, .903 fine silver, .392 troy oz ASW.
