The first specimen was lot 6401 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $172.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Mexico City. 8 Reales, 1858-FH. Sharply struck, prooflike. CHOICE BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED." The second specimen was lot 4121 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $494. The catalog description[2] noted, "Mexico. 8 Reales, 1858-Mo FH. Wide date. Blue and red tone. NGC graded MS-63." The SCWC lists this date as common with an 1858/7 overdate.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
