This specimen was lot 31195 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $493.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 8 Reales 1849 Go-PF MS64 NGC, Guanajuato mint. A bold eagle and ample amounts of striking luster. A few marks that are only really visible under magnification prevent this piece from achieving true Gem Mint State status." Assayer PF is listed for 1848-61.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
