This type was struck at Guanajuato 1826-68, with assayer PF listed for 1848-61. This specimen was lot 8157 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $258.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guanajuato. 1/2 Real, 1849-GoPF. NGC MS-64." The SCWC notes an 1849/39 overdate. This date is listed as common.
