Morton & Eden sale 104, lot 336

This specimen was lot 336 in Morton & Eden sale 104 (London, November 2019), where it sold for £280 (about US$434 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic, 1 real, Guadalupe y Calvo mint, 1848 MP, extremely fine." The Guadalupe y Calvo, during its brief existence, produced one reales 1844-51. All the dates are scarce.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a scarce date.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.098 troy oz ASW.
