This specimen was lot 13281 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $1,292. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1845-CaRG. NGC VF-35. VERY RARE." This type was struck at Chihuahua 1844-45 only, with assayer RG listed for both. Most Chihuahua minors prior to the 1870's are scarce to rare.

Specification: 3.38 g, .903 fine silver, .098 troy oz ASW.
