This eight reales is one of a series struck 1825-97 at the Mexico City mint. This date is common in all grades. Assayer MF is recorded for 1844-47. This specimen was lot 4111 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $423. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 8 Reales, 1844-Mo MF. Adjustments near the edge. Reflective fields with brilliant mint luster. NGC graded MS-64. Ex Nogales Collection."

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
