This specimen was lot 8147 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $287.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalupe Y Calvo. 1/2 Real, 1844-GCMP. VERY FINE." This specimen was struck at the Guadalupe y Calvo mint in 1844, one of a type struck there 1844-51.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, .903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
