Shown is an 1834Zs-OM 4 reales, one of a type struck at the Zacatecas mint 1830-1870. Assayer OM is recorded for 1830-56. Ten mints (Mexico City, Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Potosi, Oaxaca, Hermosillo, Real del Catorce, Guadalupe y Calvo, Guadalajara and Culiacan) struck this type of which Zacatecas is tied with Guanajuato as the commonest mint. The early dates are scarce altho this one is listed as common. An overdate, 1834/3, is reported.

Specification: 13.54 g, .903 fine silver, .392 troy oz ASW.
