Ponterio sale 155, lot 6203

This specimen was lot 6203 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $920. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Chihuahua. 8 Reales, 1834-MR. DP-Ca04. VERY FINE." The Chihuahua mint struck eight reales 1831-95. Many of the early dates are rare including this one. This assayer (MR) is listed as more available than the other (AM).
