This specimen was lot 8135 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $155.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. 1/2 Real, 1832-GaFS. VERY FINE." This specimen was struck at the Guadalajara mint in 1832, one of a type struck there 1825-62. Assayer FS is listed for 1825-36. Many early Guadalajara issues such as this one are listed as common but are not.

Specification: 1.69 g, .903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
