Aureo sale 243, lot 694
This specimen was lot 694 in Aureo y Calicó sale 243 (Barcelona, April 2012), where it sold for 200 € (about $302 including buyer's fees). The catalog[1] noted,
"1800. Carlos IV. México. FM. 2 reales. Muy bella. Brillo original. Rara así. EBC+. (two reales of 1800, Mexico mint. Very nice, orignal luster, rare thus, choice extremely fine.)"
It is one of a series minted 1792-1808 during the reign of Charles IV. The date is common, assayer FM is recorded for 1784-1801.

Specification: 6.77 g, .896 fine silver, .196 troy oz ASW.
