This specimen was lot 31297 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $3,120. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles & Johanna 'Late Series' 2 Reales ND (1542-57) S-M AU53 NGC, Mexico City mint. Golden-gray in the open fields with deeper toning accents that surround many of the design elements. Highly attractive overall and quite possibly the finest survivor of this very rare 'S' assayer to left variety. Selections from the Isaac Rudman Numismatic Cabinet."
