Sincona sale 43, lot 3605
This specimen was lot 3605 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$418 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Malaysien, Republik seit 1965 200 Ringgit 1976. Dritter 5-Jahres-Plan für Malaysia. Polierte Platte. FDC. (republic of Malaysia, since 1965, two hundred ringgit of 1976, on the third five year plan for Malaysia. Proof.)"
The five year plan, invented by Joseph Stalin and beloved by leaders of command economies, is no longer so popular as it once was.

Recorded mintage: 50,000 plus proofs.
