This specimen was lot 33749 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "Lucerne. Canton 40 Kreuzer 1796 MS64 NGC. Bright silvery gray with plenty of luster and reflective fields. From the Engelen Collection of World Coinage." This is a one year type from a canton that rarely issued this denomination. Forty kreuzer = ten batzen = one frank = ¼ thaler.
