This specimen was lot 723 in Jean Elsen list 265 (Brussels, July-September 2013) where it was offered for €425 (about US$561 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, LÜBECK, Ville libre, AR Taler, 1588, Au titre de Rodolphe II. Droit: B. de saint Jean-Baptiste de face, tenant l'agneau de Dieu, au-dessus de l'écu de la ville. Revers: Aigle impériale couronnée. Léger défaut de flan. Très Beau. (Germany, city of Lubeck, silver thaler of 1588, in the name of Rudolf II. Obverse: facing bust of John the Baptist bearing the Lamb of God, city arms below; reverse: crowned imperial eagle. Slight planchet defect, very fine.)"
