Kunker sale 264, lot 1938
This specimen was lot 1938 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €200 (about US$259 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"CAMPEN Stadt. Dukaton (Silberner Reiter) 1659. RR Attraktives Exemplar mit herrlicher Patina, kl. Prägeschwäche, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (city of Kampen, ducaton or silver rider of 1659. Rare, attractively toned, lightly cleaned, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This fairly common ducaton is listed for 1659-80 with various mint marks. A very rare double ducaton (Dav-A4945) exists.

Recorded mintage: 207,715 for 1659-60.

Specification: 32.78 g, .941 fine silver.
