This specimen was lot 33596 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Akihito gold 100000 Yen Year 3 (1990) MS68 NGC, Enthronement of Akihito commemorative." We don't see this commemorative listed in the 42nd edition of the SCWC, tho it appears in the 35th. The 35th edition also notes a gold 5000 yen (KM Y104) and a copper-nickel 500 yen (KM Y102).

Recorded mintage: 1,900,000 plus 100,000 proofs.

Specification: 30 g, .999 fine gold, AGW 0.9645 oz.
