This type of 1915-17 rounded out the series of silver one lire. The matching French silver franc was terminated in 1920. When production of the lira resumed in 1922, it was a nickel coin.

Recorded mintage: 9,744,000.

Specification: 5 g, .835 fine silver, 23 mm diameter.
