This specimen was lot 30998 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $822.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Indore. Tukoji Rao III Rupee VS1956 (1899) MS61 NGC. An extremely well-preserved, boldly struck example of this illustrative type with classic gray patination and completely original surfaces. Sharp and very appealing." This and a half anna of the same date are the first machine struck coins of this state.
