This specimen was lot 21422 in Heritage sale 3005 (Long Beach, May 2009), where it sold for $1,092.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 100000 Rupiah 1974, brilliant UNC, Conservation series featuring the Komodo Dragon." This type was struck to the standard of a United States twenty dollar gold piece. Despite some striking designs, Indonesian coins as a class are not popular and this piece sold for little more than its bullion value. It was accompanied by silver 2000 rupiah and 5000 rupiah (KM 40).

Recorded mintage: 5333 plus 1369 proofs.
