This half rupee was struck at the Calcutta mint soon after the end of World War One. It was never minted in the immense numbers of the George V rupees but it is not rare, being struck steadily 1912-30, 1933-36. The minting of rupees effectively ceased after 1922.

Recorded mintage: 5,804,000.

Specification: 5.83 g, .917 fine silver, .172 troy oz ASW.
