This specimen was lot 25110 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V gold 15 Rupees 1918-(B), AU50 NGC, lustrous surfaces with mild contact marks, scarce and popular original striking." This fifteen rupees, the only issue of this denomination, matched the sovereign struck the same year.

Recorded mintage: 2,110,000 plus proofs and restrikes.

Specification: 7.98 g, .917 fine gold.
