This specimen was lot 2409 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $176.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: Victoria, Empress, 1876-1901, AE ½ pice, 1893(c). NGC graded MS64 RB." This type was struck 1877-78 and 1885-1901 in moderate quantities and was worth one-eighth of an anna. Calcutta was the sole producer.

Recorded mintage: 7,005,000 plus proofs.

Specification: copper.
