This specimen was lot 28198 in Heritage sale 3022 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $235. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 10 Kronur 1930, UNC, a commemorative issue, struck to celebrate the 1,000 anniversary of the establishment of the Icelandic Parliament, (Althing). A most elegant coin." This object has been demoted by the SCWC from coin to medal and no longer appears therein. Davenport included it in his catalog, most likely because it (and the accompanying five kronur) are the only things close to a crown from Iceland.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, lettered edge.

Catalog reference: Dav-130, KM-M3.
