Sincona sale 38, lot 1801
This specimen was lot 1801 in Sincona sale 38 (Zurich, May 2017), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Leopold I. 1657-1705 Vierteldukat 1696. Nagybanya. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, quarter ducat of 1696, Nagybanya mint. Very fine-extremely fine.)"
This product of the Nagybanya mint was struck 1684-85 and 1696. It is scarce.
