Sincona sale 39, lot 3799
This specimen was lot 3799 in Sincona sale 39 (Zurich, May 2017), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$1,799 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Ferdinand I. 1521-1564 Taler 1554. Kremnitz. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Hübsche Patina. (kingdom of Hungary, Ferdinand I, 1521-64, thaler of 1554, Kremnitz mint. Very fine-extremely fine. Attractive patina.)"
Davenport lists this type of 1553-56 under Austria but we feel the conspicuous "KB" mintmark means this coin should be filed under Hungary, then being contested with the Turks.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen: 28.09 g.

Catalog reference: Dav-8032, Huszar 913.
