This specimen was lot 783 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONG KONG: George VI, 1937-1952, 5 cents, 1939-KN, PCGS graded Specimen 64, ex King's Norton Mint Collection." The Heaton mint also produced 3,090,000 five cent coins for Hong Kong in 1939. The 1941 issues are famous rarities. British coinage for Hong Kong ceased in 1997 when the island was returned to China. The bust of King George VI appears on the obverse.

Recorded mintage: 4,710,000 plus 3,090,000 from Heaton.

Specification: 2.6 g, nickel-brass, 16.5 mm diameter.
