This specimen was lot 20660 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $3,995. The catalog description[2] noted, "Hohenzollern-Hechingen. Friedrich Wilhelm Constantin 2 Taler 1844, MS63 NGC, deep russet and magenta patina, very scarce type from this Principality which was absorbed into Prussia in 1849." This type is reported for 1844-46.

Recorded mintage: 2,346.
