Sincona sale 46, lot 210
This specimen was lot 210 in Sincona sale 46 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,320 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Hamburg, Stadt, Schilling 1798. Goldabschlag zu einem Dukaten. NGC MS63. (Germany, city of Hamburg, schilling of 1798, off metal strike in gold.)"
The SCWC lists this type in billon for 1778 and 1790-95. Regular ducats exist for 1798 so we don't know why this off-metal strike was felt necessary altho plenty of other examples exist in the numismatics of north Germany and the Netherlands.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: normal issue: 1.08 g, .375 fine silver.

Catalog reference: Gaedechens 999, KM 456 (unlisted date).
