Halberstadt in 1547
This specimen was lot 130 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabruck, June 2015), where it sold for €5,500 (about US$7,105 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"STADT Reichstaler 1663. Von großer Seltenheit. Kräftige Patina, kl. Prägeschwäche, vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Leu 56, Zürich 1992, Nr. 404. (Germany, city of Halberstadt, thaler of 1663. Very rare, strong patina, lightly cleaned, extremely fine.)"
The SCWC does not price this type, which was issued by the city, not the bishop.
