Guatemala 1962 50 centavos
The specimen shown is from a type struck for Guatemala 1962-63. The flower depicted is a white nun ("monja blanca") orchid. Fifty centavos coins have not been popular in Guatemala, the half quetzal note being preferred. This type was extensively saved and is common today in all grades.
