The specimen shown is from a type struck for Guatemala 1926-29 and 1946-49. It was superseded by twenty-five centavo pieces with the portrait of a Mayan woman in native costume.

Recorded mintage: 134,000.

Specification: 8.33 g, .720 fine silver, .193 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
