from the Mountain Groan Collection

This type (the leftmost coin in the image) was struck for Guatemala at the Royal Mint in London in 1932 and 1946, after which no more were struck, suggesting that, like the two centavos, it was unpopular. Today, it is readily available in all grades.

Recorded mintage: 6,000,000.

Specification: brass.

Catalog reference: KM 248.
