This specimen was lot 4367 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $293.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Penny, 1906. Edward VII. Uncirculated with full mint red. Rare thus. NGC graded MS-65 Red." This type was struck 1902-10 in substantial numbers. Worn specimens fill dealer junk boxes but nice specimens are scarce.

Recorded mintage: 47,322,000.
