This specimen was lot 4838 in Goldberg sale 69 (Los Angeles, May, 2012), where it sold for $132.25. The catalog description ^[2] noted, "Great Britain. Four Pence (Groat), 1836. William IV. Multi color toning. NGC graded MS-64. The Judy Cahn Collection." This type was struck 1836-37 for British Guiana but its resemblance to the homeland type has caused it to be catalogued under Great Britain. Another four pence with a numeric reverse (KM 711) was struck 1831-37 for the Maundy sets.

Recorded mintage: 4,253,000 plus 2,574 with the numeric reverse (KM 711).
