This specimen was lot 33015 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $420. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles II Shilling 1672 XF40 NGC. A pleasant issue made all the more alluring by sky-blue trimmed legends set amid fiery orange-toned fields on the reverse." Charles II shillings come without plume below the bust (KM 427.1) struck 1666-83 and with plume (KM 427.2) struck 1671-80. The "with plume" type is priced about double those without plumes.
